Ex-Bush II Administration Official: Israel could have used Chemical Weapons in Syria

The former chief of staff to Secretary of State Colin Powell has said that the use of chemical weapons in Syria could be the result of an Israeli false flag.

Col. Lawrence Wilkerson made the comments during an interview on Current TV, saying: “This could have been an Israeli false flag operation, it could’ve been an opposition in Syria, and one wonders what part of the opposition

He would go on to say that based on the intelligence sources he’s heard from, that the evidence of chemical weapon use in Syria was “flaky”.

The use of chemical weapons in Syria has come to the forefront of late, after Secretary of Defence Chuck Hagel announced that the intelligence community had some confidence that chemical weapons were used.

The Obama administration has recently stated that if chemical weapons were used, that it would be a “game changer”, and recent events suggest that the Obama administration may be moving towards a shift in it’s policy towards Syria, specifically in arming rebels. Chuck Hagel had recently affirmed that the administration was reconsidering it’s policy towards arming rebels.
