This video presents a commentary by Prof. Anthony Hall on aspects of the continuing effort advanced by the Trudeau government and its funded agencies, including many regime media outlets, to smear the Canadian Truckers’ movement.

The video highlights especially the suspicious character of the charges against four men facing murder charges in the course of an episode where no murders have actually taken place.

Chris Carbert, Anthony Olienick, Jerry Morin, and Christopher Lsak are being set up for a show trial in Lethbridge Alberta.

This show trial is scheduled to take place in June of 2023. The spectacle will be based on the Crown’s allegation that some of those accused of crimes at the border crossing at Coutts Alberta “conspired to commit the murder” of RCMP officers.

None of the targeted individuals have been granted bail. Although they have been convicted of nothing, the four accused will have spent a year and a half in jail by the time they meet a judge and jury.

This maltreatment, together with abuses of the criminal justice system in related cases including those of Tamara Lich, Patrick King, and Pastor Arthur Pawlowsky, puts in the forefront the allegation that the Trudeau government is guilty of transforming some of its political opponents into political prisoners.

The effort to associate the Truckers’ movements with the imagery of violent terrorism is aided and abetted by organizations including the Canadian Anti-Hate Network. With Bernie Farber at its helm, this organization receives $250,000 annually from the Canadian government. This so-called anti-hate organization is being given wide access to Canadian media in order to depict the Coutts group as so-called “accelerationists” intent on the violent overthrow of the US and Canadian governments in order to create a new polity, “Diagolon.”

This very extravagant fiction is helped along by mud-slinging media reports, including Global News, whose role in generating systemic disinformation is highlighted in the Global Research essay on which the video here is based.

Global News conducted an interview with David L. Long, US Ambassador to Canada. In a really absurd comparison, Long grouped the Canadian Truckers’ movement with the governments of Russia and China. Ambassador Long accused all three entities of being meccas of authoritarianism and enemies of democracy.

The essay and the video which flows from it point to the close interactions between the politics of Global News along with its founders, and the genesis of the Canadian Museum of Human Rights.

The CMHR has failed to defend the human rights and civil liberties of Canadians against the deeply damaging incursions of the COVID restrictions and injection mandates.

As emphasized recently by the former Newfoundland Premier, Brian Peckford, this  failure of protection has taken the form of the malevolent sidelining of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

The CMHR has done nothing to challenge this curtailment of the Charter and the human rights it is meant to safeguard. This curtailment was met, however, by the proactive and democratic creation of the Freedom Convoy and its subsequent pilgrimage to Ottawa and to the Montana-Alberta border crossing.
