TBILISI. Feb 11 (Interfax) – On Friday about 100 Georgian opposition supporters held protests outside the parliament building where President Mikheil Saakashvili was due to make an annual report on the domestic and foreign policy two hours later.

“Once again Saakashvili is going to tell his parliamentarians what a beautiful country they live in, but the reality in Georgia is different. The overwhelming majority of the population is on the brink of poverty. Nothing is working in Georgia, except for police,” Lasha Chkhartishvili of the opposition Conservative Party and one of the protest organizers told journalists.

“Saakashvili’s dictatorship regime is bound to collapse because there is an end to people’s patience,” he said.

The demonstration passed without incidents.
