BOSTON (AP) — Radiation from the damaged nuclear plant in Japan now appears to be reaching the U.S. East Coast. One sample of Massachusetts rainwater registered very low concentrations of radioiodine-131. Officials say the water supply is unaffected. And they don’t expect the radioactive material to pose a health risk. Western states also have reported minuscule amounts of radiation.
