Message from Michel Chossudovsky: Dear Readers, We Need Your Support

Donate to Global Research

Dear Global Research Readers,

In an era of media disinformation, our focus has essentially been to center on the “unspoken truth”. From the inception of Global Research in 2001 we have established an extensive archive of news articles, in-depth reports and analysis on issues which are barely covered by the mainstream media.

In 2005, we established Global Research Publishers. Our most recent title is a book on The Global Economic Crisis. In the next few months, we plan to implement an E-Books program.

In 2006, we established our French language website, www.mondialisation.ca and subsequently launched Spanish, Portuguese, German, Arabic, Italian and Serbian pages.

In 2008, the CRG moved from makeshift premises to a small office located in the historical quarter of Le Vieux Montreal (Old Montreal).

And in June of this year, we launched The Global Research TV (GRTV) website, which features selected videos as well as commentary, analysis and news coverage.

In October, due to an increasingly large number of readers, we modernized our hosting arrangement, moving to a new dedicated server, which allows for reliable service and the speedy and secure download of articles.

These various endeavors were made possible thanks to the support of our readers.

From modest beginnings, with virtually no resources, the Centre for Research on Globalization (CRG) has evolved into a dynamic research and alternative media group.

To meet rising expenses, Global Research has initiated a Fund Raising Campaign. Our intention is to raise $15,000 over the next two months.

Globalresearch.ca  has more than 2.2 million hits (page views) on a monthly basis, approximately one million visits and 550,000 “absolute visitors”  (Google Diagnostics). Our E-Newsletter is sent out to more than 23,000 subscribers.

A significant number of Global Research readers among several hundred thousand readers have donated to Global Research and we are much indebted for their support.

The purpose of this fund raising campaign is to reach out and request the support of all our readers.

If you are unable to donate:

Kindly  cross-post and/or forward Global Research articles (including this message), post them on your blog sites, on Facebook and on Twitter, submit them to internet discussion groups, send them to your friends on your e-mail lists, etc. This will help Global Research in its endeavors. Widespread distribution of Global Research articles is a means to reversing the tide of media disinformation.

Global Research has become one of the leading alternative news media in North America.

According to Alexa, the web ranking agency, Global Research is ranked among the top 20,000 most popular websites Worldwide, out of a Worldwide total of more than 150 million websites. Moreover, Global Research articles are also published on more than fifty alternative media sites and blog sites.

Global Research is ranked by Alexa as the “Number One” Site in the Globalization category, with the Heritage Foundation and the World Economic Forum as “runner ups”.

Global Research has established an international network of authors, scholars and investigative journalists. It counts among its regular contributors a number of prominent writers, researchers  and academics as well as several promising young authors.  Our focus has been to work in liaison with partner websites as well as promote our authors’ blog sites.

The Global Research archive (2001-2010) includes more than 20,000 articles and news reports.

While Global Research operates on a shoe-string budget compared to the well-endowed establishment think tanks, it has more readers than the powerful Council on Foreign Relations (CFR).

Thanks to your contributions, we have also been able maintain complete independence. We do not accept support from private foundations, which are now seeking to control and manipulate the alternative news media. Instead, our news coverage comes from a multitude of diverse perspectives to ensure you get the true big picture of what’s happening in the world.

We are also indebted to our authors, who have repeatedly volunteered their time and energy. In particular, we are pleased to welcome Felicity Arbuthnot and Rick Rozoff, as correspondents of Global Research.

On behalf of the Global Research team, we extend our sincere thanks for your continued support and encouragement.

Director, Centre for Research on Globalization (CRG)
