Israeli occupation soldiers have savagely assaulted a team of journalists working for the Reuters new agency while covering a peaceful rally held by Palestinian citizens protesting the Israeli illegal confiscation of their lands in Al-Khalil city.

According to eyewitnesses, the IOF troops assailed and beat the journalists up with butts of their rifles and batons and prevented them from covering the peaceful demonstration in the Palestinian town of Bani N’aeem, east of the city.

The beaten journalists called on international legal, media, and human right institutions to put a limit to and to bridle the unwarranted IOF practices that they affirmed jeopardized their lives.

Also in Al-Khalil, at least six Palestinian citizens were kidnapped at the hands of the IOF troops that raided and ransacked their homes, and led them to an unidentified location.

But in Nablus city, Palestinian resistance fighters succeeded in detonating a roadside bomb in an Israeli Hummer jeep during an IOF incursion into the city at dawn Saturday.

Elements of the Nayef Abu Sharkh unit, an offshoot of the AMB of Fatah faction, and fighters of the PFLP-GC took the credit for exploding the bomb, affirming it inflicted a number of casualties in the IOF lines.

Moreover, the Islamic Jihad Movement unleashed two homemade missiles at the Israeli settlement of Sderot Saturday morning, affirming that the fighters returned to barracks safely.

Palestinian resistance factions headed by Hamas Movement are adamant on retaliating to IOF aggressions on the unarmed Palestinian people and are firing their simple homemade missiles at IOF instillations and Israeli settlements adjacent to the Strip despite the IOF targeting of their fighters.
