Israel’s largest defense company opens office in Azerbaijan

Baku: Israel’s largest defense electronic company, Elbit Systems, opened an office in Azerbaijan.

The office was registered as “Elbit Systems of Azerbaijan” Ltd. on September 14, the Ministry of Taxes of Azerbaijan told APA.

The company led by Edward Majorovich Chernin has 8 000 AZN of nominal capital.

Elbit Systems focuses on designing, developing, manufacturing and integrating command, control, communication, computer, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) network centric systems, including unmanned vehicles, for defense and homeland security applications.

Its major activities include military aircraft and helicopter systems, helmet mounted systems, commercial aviation systems and aero structures, unmanned air vehicle systems (Hermes 1500, Hermes 450, Skylark and etc.), naval systems, land vehicle systems, command, control, communications, computer and intelligence (C4I) systems, electro-optic and countermeasures systems, homeland security systems, electronic warfare (EW) and signal intelligence (SIGINT) systems and various commercial activities.

Elbit Systems was working on the projects of unmanned air vehicles together with the Defense Industry Ministry of Azerbaijan.
