Iran launches military drills

Baku: Iran has launched the first stage of defense drills in the country’s eastern part in the form of tactical practice, ISNA reported.

The first phase of the war game which was opened Friday night was conducted in pre-determined points in the area of 800 km vast. The drill included operational, intelligence and combatant units of Iranian army, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, disciplinary forces and trained popular troops.

The extent of coordination between units of the armed forces in public and operational places was evaluated by the military experts in the drill.

The four-staged drills “Saminul Hujaj” are aimed at demonstrating the Iranian latest military achievements and increased might of all Iranian Army’s defensive structures.

The drills will last for four days.
