On International Children’s Day, we spell out a clear message: welcome to our wonderful world, the world created by us, adults, a world in which despite the teachings of the holy books, we continue to use religion as a banner for armies to gather, in which despite scientific discoveries, we continue to destroy our planet.

The International Day for the Protection of Children was established in Moscow, on November 22, 1949 at the meeting of the Women’s International Democratic Federation, after the World Conference for the Well-being of Children proclaimed the day on June 1, 1925 in Geneva. It became universally established in 1954, the aim being to protect children’s rights, end child labor and guarantee access to education.

Let us examine the world we leave the children, our future. For a start, they are born into a world in which the peaceful message of the holy scriptures has been warped my humankind, which uses religions as a means to wage war and pits factions against one another (for example the ongoing and looming black cloud gathering over Shi’a and Sunni Moslems).

They are born into a world in which the only viable economic model, which guaranteed full employment, which distributed natural resources as a birthright to be shared by all, not sold for a fortune by a greedy clique of opportunists; they are born into a world which has transformed universal education, increasingly, into a business.

They are born into a world in which major powers sing siren’s songs about freedom and democracy and protecting human rights, then launch savage attacks upon sovereign nations, using terrorists to terrorize the civilian population, enslave detainees in concentration camps, sodomize them, torture them, retain their right to food and urinate in their soup, after ridiculing them, sexually molesting them, depriving them of sleep and waterboarding them. And forcing Moslems to eat pork. And these are the ones who claim they are the good guys. Naming and shaming, they are basically the FUKUS Axis (France – UK – US).

Our children are born into a world in which access to higher education depends upon paying tens of thousands of dollars, in which the “haves” have more and the “have nots”, less and less, they are born into a world in which up to forty per cent of our youth are endemically unemployed after coming out of an education system which fails them wholly.

In many cases after twelve years at school they do not know their arithmetical tables, they cannot perform a simple mental arithmetic problem, they do not know how to read properly and analyze a text, being functionally illiterate, they cannot write or spell and an increasing number of English speakers make basic errors (its and it’s; there and their).

So with a start like that, how are they supposed to compete in the work market unless the parents have invested thousands of dollars in their education?

They are born into a world in which a job is more and more a luxury, or considered as such, which means workers’ rights have been trimmed, which means that the idea is you work all hours of the day otherwise you lose your job. Gone is leisure time, gone are hobbies and gone are simple things like walks in the forest, picking mushrooms or just hanging out in a city garden listening to the birds or admiring the flowers. As if it weren’t teeming with drug addicts, pedophiles and rapists, rendering it a no-go area right from the start.

They are born into a world in which getting a house has become a drama, keeping it, another, in which healthcare treatment has become another business, in which dental treatment has become daylight robbery, in which neither jobs, having a home or even a pension are guaranteed.

Fair enough if this was some kind of experiment. But this is the system they told us was better than the one which provided full employment, free and excellent universal education from primary to post-doc level, a guaranteed home, free, dental care, free, leisure time and activities, free, public transportation, free, public utilities, free, a free home, basic consumables free or heavily subsidized, safety on the streets and security of the State. And an indexed pension.

Children of today, our keepers tomorrow: Please research the above. It was not a utopia or a chimera, or a daydream. The system existed, it worked and I saw it. Obviously those who removed it and implanted their nonsensical system will justify themselves by lies, but what to expect of those who spent trillions of dollars sabotaging the progressive model, committing subversion and even murder to make sure their system survived?

Know why? Study the influence of lobbies and analyze whether their “democracies” are in fact open political fields with level playing grounds, or whether their systems are in fact economic fiefdoms, controlled by the owners of capital?

Welcome to our wonderful new world. It is as Medieval, or more so, than the Middle Ages…
