THE WAR ON LEBANON

Like most conflicts there, it involves a fight for oil and gas. The new focus is a dispute between Israel and Lebanon over the demarcation of the Exclusive Economic Zone between the two countries. The prime actors at present, in addition to the governments of Israel and Lebanon include Russia, the Lebanese Hezbollah, Syria, Iran and the US in the shadows.
