EL-ARISH – A Malaysian aid ship is expected to be allowed soon into Egypt’s el-Arish Port to unload its cargo, which will be transferred to the Israeli-blockaded Gaza Strip through Egyptian territories, an el-Arish Port official said Saturday.

“The Malaysian vessel, flying a Moldovan flag, awaits for procedures to be completed before harbouring el-Arish Port. Its aid will be moved to Gaza through Egypt,” the official was quoted by the official Middle East News Agency (MENA) as saying.
Israeli naval forces fired warning shots at the Malaysian aid ship ten days ago as it approached the Gaza Strip, forcing the vessel to retreat to Egypt.
