There has been continuous seismic activity (in excess of Magnitude 6.0) in Northern Sumatra and on the Nicobar Islands, India, which followed the Magnitude 9.0 Earthquake on December 26, 00.58 GMT

On January 1, 2005: Magnitude 6.5 on the Richter scale was recorded in Northern Sumatra
