UK air strike on Libyan oil field kills 3

Three people were killed and several others were wounded on Wednesday in a British air strike on Sarir, one of Libya’s largest oil fields controlled by the Gaddafi government.

An oil pipeline connecting the deposit to a Mediterranean port was damaged.

The attack came after Libyan rebels complained earlier in the day that Colonel Gaddafi’s gunfire disrupted oil extraction at two rebel-controlled oil fields in the east of the country.
