AMMAN — The presence of military personnel from “brotherly and friendly countries, including the US”, is part of routine military cooperation between Jordan and these countries, said a government official on Thursday.

Minister of State for Media Affairs and Communications and Minister of Culture Samih Maaytah said the present American military personnel in the Kingdom “is part of a visit-exchange programme”.

He added that the visits “fall within the efforts to expand cooperation, share experiences and maintain regional stability”.
