The Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, said on Sunday (19) that the Islamic Republic of Iran has “solid evidence” that show the devastating role that sponsors of terrorist groups in the Middle East.

“Iran will present specific documents before the international organizations to demonstrate the dangerous sponsors of terrorist groups operating in Iraq, Yemen, Lebanon, Syria and other countries in the regional role,” Zarif said in a message posted on his Facebook account.

According to the head of Iranian diplomacy, leaders of extremist and terrorist groups have advocated atrocious scenes of violence, murder and massacre through public deception.

The head of Iran’s diplomacy also stressed that such criminal acts violate the peaceful spirit of Islam and arouses resentment and anger among Muslim peoples.

In part of his speech, the Iranian diplomat said on his recent trip to Lebanon, Iraq , Jordan, Syria and Russia, Tehran has expressed a willingness for dialogue and cooperation with all countries in the Middle East and the world to eradicate terrorism and extremism.

The Minister expressed his hope that the “small group” supporting extremism and sectarianism in the region with an illogical and irrational approach, will resign its position and choose the path of dialogue and understanding.

Arrested terrorists in Iraq reveal its ties with Saudi Arabia

Members of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant terrorist group ( EIIL ) affiliated to Al-Qaeda, captured in Iraq, confessed to having direct links with the government of Saudi Arabia. A channel of the Iraqi public television network showed images of the prisoners on Friday (17) which confirmed the links between Riyadh and the terrorist group.

The arrested terrorists revealed that they were supported by the Saudis and received orders from Riyadh to execute terrorist attacks in Iraq, besides informing that Saudi Arabia had provided weapons and car bombs to create chaos.

The revelations have occurred on the same day that the Undersecretary of the Iraqi Ministry of the Interior Adnan al-Asadi, warned Saudi Arabia on its interference in Iraq’s internal affairs.

“The problems with the western province of Al-Anbar is a national issue and it is not about tribal issues, contrary to some opinions,” said Al-Asadi, prompting Riyadh that Iraq will be the graveyard of those who interfere in their internal affairs.

Recently, the Iraqi intelligence services managed to arrest a large number of armed men in various operations in the city of Karbala, 110 kilometers south of the capital, Baghdad.

A terrorist leader revealed support and intelligence from the Saudis to the members of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant and other armed groups operating in Iraq, especially in the cities of Fallujah and Ramadi , located in the province of Al – Anbar.
