Yemen Opposition Decries Outcome Conference

The opposition in Yemen has sharply criticised the outcome of the international talks held in London.

The five largest opposition parties say that the help agreed on for the country will ultimately serve to strengthen the power of the government, which in their view is corrupt.

Over twenty countries have pledged to support Yemen in building up its economy and its fight against terrorism.

The conference was organised after a failed attempt to blow up a US airplane on its way to Detroit last Christmas. The Nigerian culprit is said to have received his training as a terrorist in Yemen.
